Nokia N95 puk code

Problem

Have contacted vodafone 3 times about entering the PUK code in to my Nokia N95 but the phone wont accept the code. seems to be to many digits. any one had the same problem.

Solution

• PUK means "personal unlocking key" .
  The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.
  You need to call your phone service company, they can retrieve the puk code from a database
  for free.
  In your case you need to contact your SIM card phone provider technical support to unlock the SIM.
  The PIN and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone.
  If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone should not ask for the PUK anymore.

Nokia N95 Wont start up properly

Problem:

My nokia N95 was working fine and when i went to charge it up it went onto the white Nokia logo screen. Now it wont turn off unless the battery is removed and every time i turn it on it gets as far as the same white and blue logo screen but no further. The screen dims and then lights up again.Please Help! I use this phone for my business and am lost without it!!!

Solution:

1. I solved the problem by removing both the data and SIM-card, placing back the battery and booting it. It did start up normally, and pretty fast by the way, after which I returned the SIM-card. Switch off and on and problem is solved. I didn't place back the datacard yet though
2. I had the same problem as the first two with the startup going straight to the white screen with the nokia logo and then it would turn off and restart in a cycle, taking out the battery would not help. This was after having the phone for only 9 days... took it to the Nokia Care Centre, got them to reflash the phone's firmware and it was fixed. I suggest doing the same, it's a firmare corruption that is causing the startup hang. Hope this helps you... ! :)

I don't know why but the browser refuses to start up - perhaps my sone changed something when he was playing games but I reloaded the settings from the operator ... there are no error messages it just goes back to the menu as it was before without launching the browser...Any help is appreciatedMark

THIS IS THE EASIEST FIX:1. download and install Y-Browser on your N95http://www.drjukka.com/YBrowser.html2. open Y-Browser on your n95, go to c: drive, then "cache" and delete EVERY file in there (I had about 600 files) but not the "VSS" sub-directory.3. check your n95 internet browser... it works again!! (you may need to power off & on first)
2. Call your service provider and ask them to send you the settings for the WAP/INTERNET/PEPPER service. When you receive the msg SAVE or INSTALL (which ever come up) and try using the phone browser again. If there's no joy, try...If you use PC Suite download Opera browser for your phone, and install it on your phone.

4. Thanks for the help!I go for:install any file explorer, there are lots of free ware available. browse to your browser cache & delete all the files.and its worked for me!
5. go to setings and reset your phone. then check your file manager, install manager. that maybe it was deleted. did you download the installer/ program (nokia pc suite) for your phone? try to connect it and reset it in the internet. I did this to my n90. idont know with n95.
